WHAT HAVE WE FOUND?

Regarding the altern electric fields measured with the free potential method the readings were extreme (26 V/m dorm 3) mainly due to the lack of earthing connection.

Regarding the altern magnetic fields the readings were weakly significant (70 nT dorm 1) due to the proximity of a gadget emitting such fields in the neighbour’s apartment.

Regarding the electromagnetic waves the readings were strong (176 and 240 µW/m2 in dorms 2 and 3) mainly due to the neighbor’s Wi-Fi

Regarding the continuous electric fields the readings were insignificant (21 V in dorm 1) since there are no materials that get charged electrostatically

Regarding the continuous magnetic fields the readings were extreme (12 y 17 µT in dorms 1 and 3) due to the mattresses with steel materials (buffers)

Regarding the radioactivity the readings were insignificant (0,38 and 0,43 impulses/seg in dorm 1) since there are no radioactivity materials

WHAT SHOULD BE FOUND

Altern electric fields: readings should be below 1,5 V/m and ideally below 0,3 V/m.

Altern magnetic fields: readings should be below 100 nT and ideally below 20 nT.

Electromagnetic waves: readings should be below 10 µW/m2 and ideally below 0,1 µW/m2.

Continuous electric fields: readings should be below 500 V and ideally below 100 V

Continuous magnetic fields: readings should be below a difference of 2 µT and ideally below 1 µT.

Radioactivity: readings should be below a difference from the background reading of 70% and ideally below 50%.

RECOMMENDED ACTIONS

Altern electric fields: connecting the apartment electric system to the building earthing and shielding a neighbour’s wall

Altern magnetic fields: move bed away from the neighbour’s wall

Electromagnetic waves: Shielding the bedroom

Continuous magnetic fields: replacing the matresses with ironfree ones.
